I’ve been having a tough time
Haven’t been sleeping well
Stay positive
It’s harder by the day
Not much else to say
Other than there’s got to be some other way

This isn’t me at least I hope
Floating through the day
Depression keeps me at bay
No one wants to hear what I have to say
It's intensely personal
I hope somewhat universal

Like a tornado ripping through
The Amazon factory
People get so mad
Say someone must pay
For knocking over
The sand castles we made

Of course there will be death
Of course there will be rage
But the storm moves on
And nothing will change
