Stephen Mullane Albums

Stephen Mullane has self-released three albums, which in a way are like glorified demos. The first two albums, want you to hear it like me but I ran out of and Missing: What It Was Like, were each recorded in a single session at More Sound Studio in Syracuse, NY.

He also records and produces music from his own home studio, The Stoffice. These projects are known as the Stoffice Modes. The latest album, Stoffice Modes: (This Is How) It Begins, was the first major project completed in The Stoffice.

Whenever he finishes a draft of a song, Stephen posts a demo video recorded in The Stoffice. Check out these demo versions, along with stripped-down versions of other songs, in The Stoffice Modes Sessions on YouTube.

Stoffice Modes: (This Is How) It Begins

Released on February 25th, 2023, this is the first album that Stephen wrote, performed, recorded, produced and mixed entirely on his own from the Stoffice. It's a caffeinated demo album. Listen to it straight through with a good pair of headphones or speakers to get the full story, which explores how we get lost in our minds when the self runs wild.

I am so very proud of this project, how it turned out and all I learned along the way. I hope you enjoy this part of your journey as much as I am.

Without A Me

This is the first song that was written, performed, recorded and produced entirely by Stephen Mullane. Hence, it is the first song from a project called, The Stoffice Modes “Album.”

want you to hear it like me but i ran out of

This is my second album, and it was released on October 20, 2021. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Cole Evan Oppedisano at More Sound Studios in Syracuse, NY. Joe Michael Plessas showed up at one point with his lap steel guitar.

I love the sounds and the space in this album, and everything that happens inside of it. And outside of it.

This album is dedicated to my father, Daniel Mullane. He passed away a couple months before this album was released. I think he really, really would have enjoyed it.

2020 and 2021 are very strange years in our history, for many reasons and from both a personal and global perspective. This album tries to make you hear it but it ran out of

Missing: What It Was Like

My debut album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Cole Evan Oppedisano at More Sound Studios in Syracuse, NY.

I recorded the majority of these songs on Halloween of 2020, so it’s fitting that there are many costumes present here. There’s even a ghost song.

Some happy, some sad, some scary, some bad.

What a time we had.
