Livin’ Part-Time, Goodbye

I’m no seer but this isn’t right
All these eyeballs without any sight
I don’t know but look alive
I don’t know they must be living part-time, goodbye

I know it’s true plus I’ve heard people say
You can die just about any day
Keep that in mind and go live your life
Say goodbye to livin’, livin’ part-time, goodbye

I don’t know but if life is a gift
Why keep on living and missing like this
Do you wonder how much better you’d be
Livin’ full-time, if you know what I mean
Living for living, have you ever seen, goodbye

Find your reason and run away
Can’t do that, we got bills to pay
Medicate, help me cope with the plan
Meditate, help me to understand
All I learned is I’m a shell of a man, goodbye
Livin’ part-time, goodbye

No one inside to absorb the lesson
No questions asked but I’m still guessing
I toiled away and saw me not there
Years of climbing, yet below me thin air
Life spent going through the motions
Adrift at sea in search of the ocean
Deeply felt and ignored the sickness
Due to the promise of financial fitness, goodbye
Livin’ part-time, goodbye

Then I awoke one day in a dream
And I saw it was just as it seems
Best lesson learned, I learned in death
And that is: this could be your last breath
Now I’m prepared for my death meeting
So when it comes I’ll say “Seasons Greetings”
Each day should be a good day to die
Unless you’re livin’, livin’ part-time, goodbye

Goodbye, livin’ part-time, goodbye
Livin’ part-time, goodbye, livin’ part-time, goodbye
